Baobab oil is obtained from the Adansonia digitata tree originating in the Madagascar region but can be found in mainland Africa and the western part of Australia. These trees with their striking appearance can live up to 5000 years old and bear fruits that are rich in fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants.


Baobabs rich, luxurious oil is fast absorbing, penetrates deep within skin to aid in hydration and rejuvenating skin. The oil is also rich in oleic, palmitic, linoleic and steric acids which aids in healing and replenishing lost moisture to give skin a soft and supple feel.

How Its Used

Baobab oil is used in Amaretto and Biotic Hand Remedy and Biotic Radiance-Boosing Hydrator to provide deep moisture and restorative effects to dry skin and regulate lost moisture.


Baobab plant parts are used to treat various medical conditions, with the oil used in wound care therapy, moisturizing and as a massage oil. The oil is extremely stable, with a shelf life of 2-5 years. Baobab oil is also high in beta-sitosterol, an antioxidant able to reduce DNA damage. The oil is non-irritating and non-sensitizing.
